LEADING SPANISH IT CONSULTING FIRM SELECTS FORCE10 NETWORKS TO POWER ITS ON-DEMAND NETWORK AND APPLICATION SERVICES

SAN JOSE, Calif., February 17, 2009 – Force10 Networks®, the pioneer in building and securing reliable networks, today announced that Degesys has deployed its C-Series resilient switches at their data center near Madrid, Spain. A leading IT consulting firm, Degesys selected to deploy two Force10 C300 switches to support its Flexible Capacity on Demand services they provide to a diverse client base.

In addition to software reliability, the C300 delivers full hardware resiliency with redundant components and hot insertion technologies that ensure maximum network availability. The passive copper backplane of the C300 eliminates it as a single point of failure, further ensuring always-on networking.

With capacity of up to 384 line-rate 10/100/1000Base-T ports and 64 line-rate 10 GbE ports with pluggable XFP modules, the chassis-based C-Series provides the cost-effective scalability necessary to accommodate the growing IT infrastructure of Degesys without engaging in regular forklift-type upgrades.
