FORCE10 NETWORKS TO SHOWCASE E-SERIES SWITCH/ROUTERS AT GARTNER ITXPO

MILPITAS, Calif., October 20, 2003 — Force10 Networks, Inc., a pioneer in resilient switching and routing, today announced that it is exhibiting and speaking at Gartner’s Symposium ITxpo, Oct. 19-24, 2003, at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel in Orlando, FL. Force10 will feature its E-Series, a new generation of highly resilient and scalable switch/routers, in the Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing marketplace theater, booth 327.

Marshall Eisenberg, Force10’s director of technical marketing, will explore the role of Ethernet in data centers in his presentation “Reliable Ethernet for Data Center Optimization” on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003, at 5:00 pm. Eisenberg will highlight the importance of the scalable and cost-effective technology in reducing data center operating costs and increasing network availability.

The Gartner Symposium ITxpo showcases cutting-edge technology breakthroughs. Marketplace theaters, which group exhibitors into specific areas of interest on the show floor, offer Gartner market analysis, vendor demonstrations and topic-intensive learning.
